Avery Stainton, who goes by the artist pseudonym Hutch the Heinous, is a multimedia artist originally from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. She started a tattoo apprenticeship at the very start of 2021, while also studying for her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Thompson Rivers University.

In 2024, her and two other artists left their apprenticeship street shop to open a small private studio in downtown Kamloops, where they worked alongisde one another to grow as independant tattoo artists. In 2025, Avery graduated with her degree, and has plans to travel the world to share her tattoos and other artwork.

When Avery isn’t creating art, she enjoys nature and bird photography, playing video games, collecting antiques, and watching horror movies.
